Mid Range HUAWEI nova 3i is Feature Rich

Singapore is one of the first to unveil the new HUAWEI nova 3i smartphone and it would be available from July 28. This mid-range device, the first to offer front facing dual cameras with AI support, targets the budget conscious with a feature-rich phone that mimics HUAWEI’s higher end models.

First looks might confuse people that this is a P20, with the iris purple gradient glass back; dual cameras; and cut out notch on the front display. The display is a whopping 6.3-inch FHD+ (2340×1080) 19.5:9 FullView display. These specifications enable the display to push out bigger and sharper images while looking slimmer than its predecessor. Another upgrade is on colour reproduction: The new generation of the device covers 85 percent of the colour gamut, up 10 percent from the previous generation.

There are a total of four AI cameras to put a premium, intelligent photography experience into the hands of customers (Front: 24MP and 2MP, Rear: 16MP and 2MP).

The primary sensor is designed to capture details with its f/2.0 wide aperture lens, while the 2MP secondary sensor captures depth data with dedicated depth detection hardware. Working in synergy, the dual cameras can produce stunning, authentic bokeh effects, minimizing the time and effort required for editing the perfect photo.

HUAWEI deploys the Kirin 710 SoC on the nova 3i. It’s a octa core processor with 4GB of ram. The chipset promises faster speeds with four high-performance Cortex-A73 cores clocked at 2.2GHz and four low-power Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.7GHz. The GPU is Mali-G51 MP4 and is said to be 1.3 times faster than its predecessor too. There’s also built-in AI and 3D qmoji (emoji) support.

The HUAWEI nova 3i launch party will feature Joanna Dong and Boon Hui Lu, and customers will be entitled to a Casio G-SHOCK Analog-Digital Watch (worth $199) with every purchase of the nova 3i while stocks last. It will be on 28 July 2018 at Waterway Point Shopping Mall, East Wing Atrium, Basement 2. The HUAWEI nova 3i will also be available from 28 July 2018 at all Huawei Concept Stores, local telecommunication operators, selected consumer electronic stores, authorised mobile retailers and selected online marketplaces. Customers are entitled to a 2-year warranty with any Huawei smartphone.
