Galaxy Note8 Launch in Singapore

The Galaxy Note8 has been unveiled. With the Galaxy Note8, consumers get a oh slightly by 0.1″ bigger Infinity Display, S Pen to communicate in more personal ways, and Samsung’s first ever dual smartphone camera to capture stunning photos. The Galaxy Note8 is designed for the way consumers lead their lives and lean on technology today.

Building upon the Galaxy legacy, users can also pair their Galaxy Note8 with the Samsung DeX station – a device that provides users with a desktop-like experience. Optimised for use with a keyboard and mouse, users can simply insert their Galaxy Note8 into the Samsung DeX Station7 to start working seamlessly with the connectivity they need, while enjoying added mobility.

Other than the dual camera setup and S-Pen, the Note8 is really similar to the Galaxy S8. So if you aren’t too keen on the S Pen, the S8 really makes good financial sense.

Also, the dual camera setup operates on a telephoto (zoom) concept, as that of the iPhone. If you are hoping for some widescreen camera goodness such as the LG G6 / V30, you are out of luck.

Registration of interest with telecommunication operators for the Galaxy Note8 will commence from 25 August 2017, Friday, 12pm.

Local Pricing and Availability

The Galaxy Note8 will be available from 15 September 2017 at a recommended retail price of $1,398 including GST. Available in Midnight Black, Maple Gold and Orchid Gray, the device will be available at all local telecommunication operators, major consumer electronic stores, authorised mobile retailers, Samsung Experience Stores and Lazada Singapore.

Here’s the new Barcelona No. 11 from OPPO

OPPO to bring Singapore football fans closer to the action with launch of limited edition FC Barcelona R11. Neymar used to wear the No 11 jersey at Barcelona before his record breaking move to PSG, and while Barcelona is still struggling to bring in his replacement, fans can well, get their hands on one from OPPO. The OPPO R11 will be available in Singapore on 26 August, with pre-orders having started already.

There will be a total of 500 sets of the FCB R11 phone exclusively for consumers in Singapore.

A key feature of the FCB R11 is its aesthetic appeal where OPPO uses the design trend of contrast colouring to showcase Barça’s traditional red and blue signature colours based on the golden ratio of its metal shell. Innovation and boldness behind the FCB R11 colour design

The FCB R11 features complex techniques behind the golden ratio-based contrast colour design of its metal body.

OPPO has used the adhesive fill technique to create the first contrast colour antenna in the industry, giving the body of the phone layers of colours that look delicate and elegant, as well as an anodized colouring process. Together with these techniques, OPPO has also intricately treated the diffuse reflection to achieve visual comfort and purity.

To celebrate the launch of the FCB R11 in Singapore, consumers who have pre-ordered the phone will receive an exclusive OPPO x FC Barcelona backpack and go into a lucky draw to win a FC Barcelona jersey signed by club stars including Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Gerard Pique. The DAP-1720 is a wireless extender offering AC1750 speeds, which can extend your home or even office wireless network easily. It really irks me when I move to a spot in my house where WiFi coverage is poor and connection gets drop, or worse, I get the dreaded “You Are Offline” message, especially when I am in the midst of loading an important page – e.g. online shopping, or downloading a large file.
