D-Link HD Wide Angle Wi-Fi Camera – Omna 180

D-Link’s latest camera the Omna 180 Cam HD (DSH-C310) is now available at Apple.com and Singapore Apple stores. Unlike traditional IP cameras with a 120 degree field of view, D-Link’s unique 180-degree solution and de-warping technology allow users to see just about everything, from virtually anywhere.

Homekit Camera

The first in D-Link’s Omna family of HomeKit enabled devices, the Omna 180 Cam HD provides an easy way for users to monitor their home for extra peace of mind. When activity is detected, users will receive a notification on their lock screen, delivered via the Apple Home app. You can then access it for a live feed from the camera.

Features include:

  • 180-Degree Field of View
  • Dynamic Video Streaming – to optimise the bandwidth
  • Two-Way Audio
  • Night vision
  • Motion detection
  • local recording to SD card
  • Stylish Design

For those concerned about aesthetics, the D-Link Omna 180 does not look like your traditional IP camera. The camera is designed to fit into the modern home. While expensive, it is one of the few Homekit cameras. THere’s not much choice at the moment, and you do get good support from D-Link.

Review: ASUS Zenpad 3

The ASUS Zenpad 3 comes in at the size of an iPad Mini, and includes a default 4G SIM slot for anywhere connectivity.

Now, the Zenpad 3 comes with a gorgeous high-resolution 7.9-inch IPS screen, and a relatively fast Snapdragon 650 paired with 4 GB of RAM. It’s perfect for watching shows, especially with the front facing stereo speakers. The only caveat, the tablet like the iPad Mini, runs on a 4:3 display ratio, which means black bars for most of today’s movies and tv shows. It’s a small annoyance, for the 4:3 ratio makes it otherwise great for reading published content, and also really comfortable to hold landscape and portrait. Worthwhile trade offs.
