TDA7297: Audio Amplifier Board For Your Old Speakers

The TDA7297 is a 2.0 Audio Amplifier Board, that can drive your old 4-8 ohm 10-50 watt speakers. I had a couple of old Bose cubes, and Cambridge Soundworks speakers lying around so this was a cheap way to give them a second wind.

They can be bought from eBay, Aliexpress or Taobao. Taobao’s the cheapest, but you would need to factor in shipping costs and it’s probably only worth it if you are getting other parts as well at the same time (which you should).

Windows 7/8 Tip: Deleting Folders (Access is Denied)

From time to time, when attempting to delete folders, Windows may deny you that ability and may pop up an error message that states “Access is denied”. Windows work in funny ways. This happened to me recently when I was trying to remove Windows.old which contained old Windows installation files that had been left behind after I upgraded to Windows 8. There was one specific file which couldn’t be removed and it irritated me to see the folder still there (signs of OCD).

How to Sign Documents Electronically with GMAIL

The signature has always been considered an official endorsement of a document. Even with email and other forms of electronic communication, there has still been a large reliance of the old pen signature to endorse it. The incorporation with electronic systems involved downloading the document, printing it off, picking up a pen with either black or blue ink and signing off at the appropriate places, scanning the document once signed, uploading it, attaching the paperwork to an email, and then finally sending off that email back in reply with your signature.
