Google Duplex Is THE Next Gen AI

Hearing the latest Google Duplex AI conversation is mindblowing. Debuted at Google I/O 2018, the latest feature from Google lets you make phone reservations from traditional businesses – like restaurants, salons. It’s not a roll out feature yet, and limited to North American accent, but the level of interaction on display blows away the current competition.

In the future, which might be years still, we will be able ask Assistant to book appointments and reservations, and the assistant itself will call up the business on its own, and have a conversation with them to make the booking. Beyond the hmmms and mmhmms, the conversation sounded amazingly natural, and that’s amazing compared to where we are at with other voice AIs like Siri, Assistant and Alexa. This is perfect for those with phobia of calling others.
