HUAWEI MatePad (2021) – 2K FullView Display Tablet

The new Huawei MatePad (2021) might help make things easier – with more screen for creativity and blazing fast speed from Wi-Fi 6, is a tablet that’s optimized for mobile entertainment and productivity. It launches in Singapore on 22 May at $498 with attractive gift bundles worth up to $180.
The new HUAWEI MatePad runs Huawei’s Android OS. Its lightweight 460g enclosure houses a new 7nm Kirin 820 processor which powers blazing fast speeds of up to 2.36GHz, and its integrated Mali-G57 GPU and NPU systems support smooth performance for intensive gaming and video playback and an overall richer AI experience. The new HUAWEI MatePad also supports Wi-Fi 6 with peak download speeds of 2,400Mbps for buffer-free video streaming and speedy file transfers.
The new HUAWEI MatePad is pre-installed with HUAWEI Video that offers a varied selection of International drama series, movies and documentaries. New users of HUAWEI Video can also enjoy the first month free on HUAWEI Video+ Unlimited Pass worth S$7.98 that offers ad-free streaming as well as all-access premium content of the latest entertainment. However, no access to Google Play Store means no easy way to install Netflix and Disney+. Huawei attempts to make up for this by coupling the tablet with Petal Search app, which is a search portal for other Android apps, but your mileage may vary.
With its 7250 mAh large-capacity battery and EMUI’s AI Power Saving technology, the new HUAWEI MatePad can support up to 12 hours of webpage browsing, or 12.5 hours of local 1080P video playback on a single charge, making binge-worthy videos go on without interruptions. The tablet also supports 10V/2.25A fast charging, which means it takes only 2.5 hours for a full charge that will keep users entertained throughout the day.
The new HUAWEI MatePad will be available from 22 May 2021 at a retail price of $498 in all HUAWEI Experience Stores, selected consumer electronic stores including Best Denki, Challenger & Hachi.tech, COURTS, Harvey Norman, Sprint Cass and Huawei official online stores in Lazada and Shopee.
