iNO Scout 2 Now Available

The iNO SCOUT 2 offers some useful upgrades over last year iNO Scout 1, and remains as the toughest non-camera phone for the Singapore market. The processor sees a slight upgrade and now offers 4x more internal memory as compared to the first generation version. The software has also been upgraded and the iNo Scout 2 runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat. It retains the same rubber ruggedised side protection but the new model is also slimmer at 16.5mm. No worries on bringing the phone outfield thatnks to the IP67 rating and the shock proof protection.

Interestingly one of the features was compatible with selected USA 3G networks? Why is this even being mentioned? Was the previous version of iNO Scout unable to register on the USA 3G Networks? Anyway, it does have the usual GSM quadband and also WCDMA network access.

The iNO Scout 2 retails for S$378, and if you don’t need the water proof feature, another phone to consider is the SG HITECH’s Excellence. Largely similar, also retaining the shock-resistant feature, and it boasts more RAM, and in my opinion, looks better with the more muted design.
