Launch of the Latest Onkyo x DTS Audio Receivers
Onkyo has made available in Singapore the TX-NR646 and TX-NR747 audio receivers, which supports the new DTS:X and Dolby Atmos audio formats as well as the latest streaming formats, such as AirPlay and Spotify.
If you had snagged one of the newest 4K OLED TV on the market, you can complement it with similar quality audio receivers so as to experience the cutting edge of home cinema. Onkyo’s new receivers are the first in class to feature DTS:X and Dolby Atmos multi-dimensional audio formats.
DTS:X scales to any home theater configuration, up to 7.1.4 channels with enhanced flexibility for height-channel placement, including in-ceiling speakers, front/rear height channels, and Dolby Atmos-ready speaker systems. Dialog in DTS:X can be mixed as a discrete sound object, so users can raise or lower it independent to other elements in DTS:X soundtracks, resulting in dramatically improved audibility. Further, DTS:X incorporates Neural:X, the latest spatial remapping technology from DTS, which provides a fully immersive output for all types of source content. This includes DTS bitstreams, non-encoded (PCM) data and Neural-encoded radio broadcasts of major global sporting events.
The TX-NR646 is capable of generating 160 W/Ch of power while the TX-NR747 outputs 175W/Ch and is THX® Select 2™ Plus certified. Both receivers are fitted with Dual 32-bit DSP Engines and a new 384 kHz/32-bit AK4458 DAC from Asahi-Kasei. It also features eight 4K/60 Hz-ready HDMI inputs and two multi-zone outputs, with HDCP 2.2 compliant for 4K streaming and Ultra HD Blu-ray support, in order to meet all your video demands. It also caters to the latest wireless audio formats with Wi-Fi, AirPlay and Bluetooth. Streaming via Spotify app is also supported. Notably, Google Cast support is missing.
