LG Rolly Keyboard Rolls Into A Portable Stick

LG unveiled a cool looking keyboard today. The Rolly Keyboard rolls up to create an easy-to-carry “stick” that can fit easily into a bag. It features tactile laptop-style keys, with useful features designed for the mobile user.

The Rolly physical keys come with a 17mm key pitch, which is just slightly off the usual 18mm found in most desktop keyboards. The Rolly sports a polycarbonate and black ABS plastic build, for a better typing experience than the portable silicon keyboard type. Designed for the mobile user, there are two sturdy arms to support smartphones and tablets (up to 10 inches).

The keyboard pairs automatically once you un-roll it, and you can connect up to two different devices via Bluetooth 3.0, switchable with a button toggle. A single AAA battery powers the keyboard for up to three months of average use.

The Rolly Keyboard will make its debut in September in the United States, followed by key markets in Europe, Latin America and Asia (which should hopefully comprise of Singapore) in the fourth quarter. Prices and details of availability will be announced locally at the time of launch. Visitors to IFA 2015 can see LG Rolly Keyboard up close in Hall 18 of Messe Berlin from September 4-9.
