Free Yourself With the New Strix Wireless

Free Yourself With the New Strix Wireless

The Strix Wireless upgrades the Strix 7.1 Headset with low-latency 2.4GHz wireless technology. The battery is good for 10-hours of uninterrupted use on a single charge, and offers compatibility with a wide range of devices. It features the same owl-eye design as it’s sibling.

The previous headset would have set you back by $239, but the new Strix Wireless is slightly cheaper at $199. Part of it is due to the previous Asus Strix 7.1 offering true 7.1 surround sound.

ROG Strix Wireless works together with the included Sonic Studio audio software to let gamers enjoy stunning 7.1-channel virtual surround-sound for a new level of gaming immersion. With this exclusive audio technology, gamers can hear every gunshot and footstep with pinpoint accuracy, so they can easily locate and gain the edge against their opponents. Sonic Studio also provides full control over a wide range of audio settings — such as equalization (EQ) and 7.1-speaker level-balancing — that gamers can adjust to make games sound their best. And, since Sonic Studio features an intuitive, single-screen user interface, achieving optimal audio quality is easier than ever. As it is a virtualisation, this will only work with the provided software (and on PC only). Otherwise, you would be limited to 2 channel audio.

So although you lose the 7.1 surround sound, the new Strix Wireless is fully compatible with consoles and mobile devices. With ROG Strix Wireless, gamers can enjoy high-quality wireless audio on their PC, Mac, or PlayStation® 4. It also comes with a 3.5mm combined, four-pole audio/microphone adapter and a 1.5m Y-cable extension for connectivity with a wide range of devices, including Xbox One™, smartphones, and tablets, as well as PC, Mac, and PlayStation 4 in wired mode.
