32 / 64 Bit Drivers for Linksys WUSB54 Adapter Windows 7 / 8 / 10

32 / 64 Bit Drivers for Linksys WUSB54 Adapter Windows 7 / 8 / 10

If you are looking for 32 / 64 bit drivers for Linksys WUSB54G Wireless G USB Adapter WUSB54G ver 4.0, look no further. I upgraded an old computer to Windows 7 recently and chooses the 64 bit version but it was a painful process trying to find drivers for the Linksys WUSB54G Wireless-G Adapter. It was an old WiFi adapter but still working well. If you use an Ethernet connection, you can get the drivers for it over Windows Update. I didn’t had that option available and had to search the net a fair bit looking for the driver. To cut a long story short, I found it and currently hosting it on my Dropbox to help out fellow users.

These drivers have been verified to be compatible with Windows 8, 8.1 and Windows 10 as well!

I know, downloading files off someone’s else Dropbox may not be the best idea but it has been the most stable option for me till date while preserving my host bandwidth. If you tried it out and it works well, drop a comment here :) Thanks!

For the 64 bit Windows, choose Have Disk for the driver and perform a manual setup. Look for devices under Ralink and choose the RT2500 USB Wireless LAN Driver. It will work with the Linksys WUSB54G as it is using a Ralink chipset. Then again, perhaps I shouldn’t be hanging on to legacy devices. With newer, more compatible Wireless USB adapters easily available at prices of under US$10, it might be time to retire the Linksys adapter and just buy a new one. At least, you no longer need to go on driver hunts.

  2. It is much better to recruit a locksmith
from a local area as a tech, however skilled,
may take some time to commute from another city. The art and science of creating and breaking locks is carried out by locksmiths and
also the profession is referred to as locksmithing. With so many fake locksmith companies using so many fake addresses, many users
of a search engine are highly likely to become
a victim of one of the thousands of phony locksmith companies because they have purposely placed themselves with a phony address in any area they choose, without regard for our laws or
the safety of the citizens that may live at those addresses.

  3. Thanks! The Ralink instructions worked for my girlfriend. Stupid that Linksys doesn’t support their own products.

    1. where do you find the instructions
I downloaded the zip file and extracted them, but windows 8 doesnt want to open them.. which one to open first,, etc..

  4. I followed your instructions for 64bit install and the driver worked. I’m back online with a Linksys adapter that told me wasn’t compatible. Thanks much. Saved me $$.

    1. How do you install the driver on Windows 10? I tried and Windows said it could not find a driver in the folder I pointed it to.

    2. Could you tell me how you installed it on windows 10? Set by step, i tried but it didnt work. Thanks

      1. First Right click on my computer and then properties.
        Second click on device manager.
Now find the USB adapter and right click and click on update.
        The click on manual update.
        Select the driver file.
        Boom! The driver installs.
