Samsung Galaxy S4 Launch Date to be on 27 April

The UK have announced a 26 April launch date for the Samsung Galaxy S4 and we have heard similar leaks in Singapore as well from our telco friends. It is likely that there would be a possible launch of the Samsung Galaxy S4 in Singapore on 26 April, Friday.

Similarly, HardwareZone have posted similar news.

The device is expected to launch across all three major telcos in Singapore, Singtel, Starhub and M1. All three would be carrying the Galaxy S4. Likely in about two weeks time, they would start their marketing activities for consumers to register their interest and pre-order the phones. I stress that if you are looking to buy the Galaxy S4, pre-orders are a must. Despite all the naysayers suggesting that Samsung is going down, the S4 would likely establish itself as the top selling phone in Singapore this year. If you miss the pre-order, you would be faced with long queues and potentially no stock over the labour day weekend.

As a quick recap, the Galaxy S4 is powered by a quad-core processor, 2GB RAM, Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and has a 5-inch FULL HD Super AMOLED display. Read on more about the phone right here.

Update: The Launch for the Galaxy S4 in Singapore would be on 27th April, Saturday.

In addition, CNET has added that pre-orders for the Galaxy S4 will start on April 17 in Singapore. The pre orders can be made through local telcos’ Web sites, which starts on April 17, if you want to be assured of getting a handset to call your own. Alternatively, you can pop by Samsung Experience Stores (in Singapore) from the same date to pre-order with a S$50 deposit.
