Be Rewarded for using Samsung Pay

Samsung Pay is officially launched in Singapore. They have partnered with the major banks in Singapore, POSB/DBS, Standard Chartered, OCBC, and Citibank, and there’s a whole lot of advertisement budget to encourage usage. Read on to find out how to maximise your rewards and get up to 25% cashback and free Samsung accessories, you may even win a phone!

From Samsung itself:

First 500 per week to use Samsung Pay will be rewarded with a gift. Simply use Samsung Pay to win a free Samsung Accessory. This week – a Wireless Charging Stand (Black), next week Wireless Charging Stand (White), followed by two weeks of Battery Pack. Swipe out, authenticate, and pay. It’s that simple.

From POSB / DBS:

Get $10 cashback by clocking at least 3 transactions, and a total minimum amount of $40 for your cards.
Tip: Just aim to hit the $40 and stop thereafter to maximise the 25% cashback.

From Citibank:

Each transaction will give you a chance to win a Samsung Galaxy S7. There are a total of 30 phones up for grabs. In addition, Citi cards on Samsung Pay benefit from accelerated rewards, such as increased cashback (dividend card), 10x rewards for all expenditure (Citi rewards). Tip: The added rewards translates to about 2-3%, which isn’t much to shout about. But the chance to win a phone might be attractive. Recommend for small expenditures to rack up the chances.

From Standard Chartered:

20% cashback. You will be awarded 20% cashback on your Samsung Pay spend amounts, subject to a cap of $50 per cardholder. The promotion is valid from 16 June to 16 July 2016 (both dates inclusive). Limited to the first 5,000 cardholders who make at least one eligible transaction through Samsung Pay. Tip: Mai Tu liao! Pair with your manhattan card for added benefits. Max cashback is $50, so stop spending after you hit the $250 magic number.

From OCBC:

All expenditure qualify for a 5% cashback. The OCBC Samsung Pay 5% Rebate Promotion runs between 17 June 2016 Singapore Time (SGT) 00:01 and 31 August 2016 SGT 23:59 (including both dates) or until the total rebates amount of S$200,000 is fully redeemed, whichever is earlier (“Promotion Period”). The 5% cash rebate for OCBC Samsung Pay 5% Rebate Promotion will be capped at S$15 per customer.

Tip: Only use it after you max out your Standard Chartered and DBS/POSB promotions (which is after spending $290).
